Everyone knows the B-Cups as one of the more thoughtful clubs in SLFBL. Ron Kurtz, the owner of the B-Cups, gives new definition to the term due diligence. That said, the B-Cups do have talent on their roster and are a formidable matchup every week. How anyone would have the time to devote to SLFBL after traveling the globe like Ron does is anyone's guess. Anyway, I digress.
DONT NEEDS:
IF: This team has some really strong talent in the IF - and most of it is very young. David Wright, Carlos Delgado, and Joe Crede are all strong fantasy options. Robinson Cano, Conor Jackson, and Adam LaRoche are all young players coming into their fantasy prime.
OF: The Cups arent particularly deep at OF, and will probably draft some depth at that position, but it certainly could not be considered a position of weakness when you can put Vernon Wells and Carlos Beltran in your lineup every week.
NEEDS:
SP: My guess, the B-Cups will be drafting SP early and often. The club only protected two starters, one of which being 40 years old. Granted, Johan Santana is a good starting point for fantasy teams in general, but this is a position that the Cups will be upgrading.
RP: It sounds like a broken record, but the B-Cups also need relief help. Mariano Rivera isnt getting any younger, and Bob "Slim" Wickman is one Big Mac short of triple bypass surgery. Luckily for the B-Cups, this is a position in constant upheaval and contains many young options in this draft.
C: The B-Cups did not protect a catcher. Its by far the weakest of needs given the number of possibilities that will present the club on draft day.
PROGNOSTICATION:
My guess, for what its worth, is that the Cups will go with one of the solid options at SP in the first round. The club needs more than one SP, and a couple of RP's so its likely the first part of the draft will be pitching, pitching, pitching.
